EMPLOYMENT

I am currently a sales advisor at the Luxury brand Rituals. My role allows me to engage with customers and understand their needs or preferences so I can recommend products. This role has enhanced my communication skills and teamwork skills because I have to collaborate with my colleague to make sure the store runs smoothly.

Final major project

For my Final project at Fashion Retail Academy, I wanted to be creative and innovative, therefore I created a 60's inspired magazine which contained fashion and beauty content. This magazine was created to show Gen Zers what fashion and life was like during this era and how it was described as 'revolutionary decade' and a trans-formative era marked by significant changes. My aim for this project is to inspire gen z females to experiment with vintage fashion.

Trend research pages

For this project, I conducted some research on the 60s fashion trends and the future fashion trends for 2025/2026.

style + shop pages

These are the style + shop pages from my magazine, I wanted to showcase the latest fashion trends such as denim and provide inspiration for the readers. I made sure the items were affordable so it suits the target customer. One of the major trends for this season was double denim, therefore I included this because it is a timeless and effortlessly cool look which will never go out of style. The other trend was a basic jacket which is also worn for a stylish and cool effect. Overall, these pages are inspiring and they can motivate readers to experiment with their own wardbrobes and express themselves.

The ad pages

These are the Ad pages from my magazine. I wanted all the ads in my magazine to reflect the target customer and the theme of the magazine, therefore I created a Depop ad because they sell second-hand and vintage styles of clothing such as the 60s which relates to the reader. From my research, I found out that 90% of users on Depop are Gen Zers, therefore this shows that they will be interested in this Ad. Another Ad that I created was a Glossier Ad because I found out that this brand is one of Gen Zers top skincare brands, therefore this is appealing.

Front cover

This image on the left is the outcome of my front cover page and the images on the right are the research and development pages. I have used the 60s icon 'Twiggy' as the cover girl because she was admired during this era and she was a huge part of the 60s. I wanted to keep the colour theme simple, therefore I chose the colours pale yellow and black for the writing. Overall, I was very pleased with the final outcome because it represents the theme well.

For my research, I decided to look at other magazine front covers and analyze what they have done and what I like about them. I took inspiration from the magazine Vanity Fair because I loved the layout and where the writing was placed. It look sophisticated, neat and clean which is what I wanted my magazine to look like. The background is also one colour which makes the image stand out and the title is bold.

Buying & merchandising project

This luxury fusion project was a buying & merchandising project, the concept was to merge a luxury, premium brand with a high street retailer and create a capsule collection which aligns with the 2024 trends and adapts to the current market. I created a S/S 24 trendy and stylish collection for Chanel and Mango, I made sure that the collection appealed to both of the target customers for both brands and my new target customer.

mood board

The movie 'Mamma Mia' was my inspiration for this collection because I love the whole aesthetic such as the colours and the elegant silhouettes that the actors wore in the movie. I have included images of the beach because the style of the items are Mediterranean with different patterns such as stripes and the colour blue. I have also added images of flowers because they represent positivisty and peace which is what I wanted to convey when creating this collection. The colour theme is neutral tones such as pale blue and coconut milk because they are trendy and aesthetic.

trend board

This is the trend board from this project, I have included images of sheer/mesh fabrics because they are a trendy material for S/S 24 because they are lightweight and breathable. Fabrics such as tweed and crochet were also a trend because they are breathable, which is perfect for a summer collection. Pearl accessories were a trend because they are a symbol of elegance and sophistication in fashion. Free-flowing silhouettes and maxi dresses were also a predicted trend which is why I have included these styles in my collection.

trend research

For the trend research, I looked on websites such as WGSN to gain insight into the future trends for spring / summer. I looked at trending colours, silhouettes, patterns, shapes and styles which was very useful and it gave me inspiration when creating the final collection. The trendy colours were light blue, cotton colour, pink and the key materials were dainty florals, stripes and poka dots.

The final outcome

This is the outcome of the Mango x Chanel capsule collection. My aim for creating this collection was to incorporate the spring / summer 2024 trends and silhouettes and adapt my final items to the liking of my target market, as well as making fashionable and versatile items which can be worn by anyone. The collection was inspired by trends such as pin-stripe detailing and free-flowing maxi dresses which are easy to wear in the summer season. All the items are Mediterranean style because it aligns with the theme and the trends. I have also used sustainable fabrics such as organic cotton because I believe that sustainability is extremely important. There are accessories such as handbags which have the Chanel logo, therefore these are more luxury and premium

Customer profile board

This is the customer profile board, we chose to target the gen z generation because they love to make time to take care of themselves and their well-being - so skincare is essential to them. They are currently still in higher education, therefore their lifestyle is fast-paced which means they want to create moments of relaxation.
